HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023! New year, new goals! Sharing my travel resolutions with you every year is more like a ritual now. And why not? Sharing travel resolutions here not just helps me to work on it harder because I don’t want to come out as a loser at the end of the year, but it also helps you my dear readers, to plan and get inspired to set your travel resolutions for new year. Last year I shared the list of travel resolutions for 2022 and I was to tick off 3 points from it (Focus more in the moment, travel to a new place and travel responsibly). Not bad!
In this post, I am sharing my travel resolutions for 2023. You too, seek inspiration from my list and set up on your own. Post it publicly, either on your blog or facebook, so that you are able to track it next year.
Travel Resolutions for 2023: Bucket list ideas, Dos and Don’ts

Travel more responsibly and spread awareness about the same
This will be my top priority this year. I established Responsible Yatri last year with a vision to spread awareness about responsible travel and tourism and sustainable practises. This year I will be focusing on it more and take it to the next level. I personally, have started becoming conscious about my decisions and choices of travelling and try to make it more responsible. This year, I will continue to stick to it and take it to the next level by all means possible.

Off-beat locations in India
My country India is full of hidden gems. This year, I will explore at least 1 off-beat location in India and will promote the same. This location can be a plain, beach destination, mountains or jungles. Last year, it was Sariska, this year… let’s wait and watch!

Explore 2 New Places
I am a fan of exploring new places and learn about it. This year I will try to explore at least 2 new places. This can be both national and international.

1 International Trip
This might seem like a tough travel resolution for 2023, considering my calendar, but what’s a resolution if it doesn’t push you to come out of your comfort box. I will go on at least 1 international trips. This can be a solo, couple or group. Fingers crossed!

Explore my native place
My native city is Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Though I know almost every place to visit in Kanpur but still there are some places that I just ‘know’ and never visited. This year, I will try to explore my native place more and share about it here on my blog and on social media.

Shop local to help the communities
Though, this point is also a part of responsible travel but I want to mention is separately. I am fan of buying local handicrafts and handmade products. This year, I am going to shop more local whenever I travel to some place and try to help the local communities. In short, this year, I will choose local handicrafts and handmade products over branded ones.
I am so excited to tick-off all of these resolutions in 2023. Keeping my fingers crossed!
