Gulmarg is my most favourite place in India now. It is a popular tourist destination located in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, especially its lush green meadows, snow-covered mountains, and skiing opportunities during the winter season. I simply loved my time here. Here are important highlights about Gulmarg that you must know before planning your trip to Gulmarg:
- Location: Gulmarg is situated in the Pir Panjal range in the western Himalayas, at an altitude of about 2,650 meters (8,694 feet) above sea level.
- Natural Beauty: The meadows of Gulmarg are famous for their picturesque landscapes, with rolling hills covered in a carpet of vibrant flowers during the summer months. In winter, the area transforms into a winter wonderland with heavy snowfall, making it a popular destination for skiing and other winter sports.

- How to reach Gulmarg: Nearest airport is SRINAGAR airport, from there, you can go by road – car or bus.
- How many days are enough for Gulmarg: Gulmarg is a small town, so 1 day is enough although I would suggest stay for 2 nights so that you can just relax there and enjoy the beautiful nature.
