Jade Plant Benefits:
- Brings Good Luck
According to the vastu shastra and feng shui, keeping a jade plant in the southeast corner of the room brings good luck and abundance to everyone living in the house.
- Improves air quality
Yes! This is the biggest benefit of Jade plants. It improves the air quality. Inside our houses, we have VOCs or volatile organic compounds such as acetone and toluene which comes from wood, paints, moths, insects, preservatives, dusts etc. Jade plant removes VOCs from the air making the air cleaner and good to breathe.
- Reduces weakness and insomnia
Sometimes we feel weakness and exhaustiveness and have difficulty in sleeping, for no reason. This is because of the VOCs (that we discussed above) present in the air. Because jade plant removes VOCs and purifies the air, it reduces weakness, exhaustiveness and insomnia.
- Good Sleep
At night, Jade plant undergoes a process called CAM which means Crassulacean Acid Metabolism in which it tries to absorb as much as Carbon dioxide (CO2) as it can. This gives ourselves cleaner air at night which relaxes our lungs and brain making us relax and giving us a good night sleep.
- Reduces stress and anxiety
Obviously, if you are breathing in a clean and better air during the evenings and at nights, it reduces stress and anxiety. Also, looking at the plants every now and then also has a calming effect on the brain which reduces stress.
Bonus tip: Keep a jade plant on your study table or work space for better concentration.
