Times have changed. Gone are the days when only ladies of the house used to do the household works like cooking, washing clothes etc. Gone are the days when brothers used to wait for their plates to get whisked away after dinner. Gone are the days when only wives used to make the grocery list. Now is the time where the sons of the house do share the load with the ladies.
In fact, I’ll give you an example of my own house. My nephew is 5 years old and we try to make him help us in the work here and there, so that it doesn’t make him feel awkward working for household works when he grows us. It’s not just about social media updates or preaching but it’s about the actions, the behaviour that really matters. My brother often cooks and helps us in dusting. And trust me, all this is really normal in my house. But it feels sad to see that there are still some stereotypes where the above mentioned things are not normal. It’s high time that we should start sharing the load.
Talking of which, I recently got a #HamperOfEquality from Ariel India. This beautiful #ShareTheLoad hamper contains a detergent box + scoop, Ariel matic liquid, Ariel powder matic, an apron, coloring book, grocery bag, laundry bag, school time table and wooden cloth pegs. All this is inside a big wooden box.
I really found this #ShareTheLoad box an interesting way to engage the young sons of the house in household chores. This box has items for each person at the home that will help the family members to understand the concept of sharing the load.
Talking of which, have a look at Ariel’s latest #ShareTheLoad TVC. I really liked it as it perfectly tells what actually needs to be done!
