Being a part of a book club is simply an amazing association. You get to talk to people who are like you, love reading books and discuss. You can get recommendations for new books, exchange books and lots more. If you love reading books however cannot find a decent book club in your neighbourhood, then why not begin your own club! Owning or opening a book club is actually not a big deal. In this post, I am explaining the best way to start your own book club. Read to know how!
Steps to Start Your Own Book Club:
1. To start with, you would like to come to a decision on what quite a book club you wish, and that I do not solely mean the genre of books you wish to cater to. Do you need it to be a weekly affair, to be very formal or with a classy high-brow wine and cheese theme? Or are you keen on a lot of ordered back and easy approach, where the members meet informally, wearing casuals, with some restrained cocktails and cups of coffee? Rules & regulations for a club are very important. But sometimes, even being simple and chatty can be a good idea
2. Next in line is that the genre: Do you like fiction or non-fiction? whether or not you’re reaching to browse classics or a lot of modern literature? the most effective a part of beginning your own book club is that you simply will cater to any genre of books, therefore you’ll have all of the above!
3. If you are intimidated by beginning out on your own, get some help from your friends and relatives. Opt for a co-founder, somebody who loves reading and is attention-grabbing in books. attempt finding somebody, who is updated on the newest books. The more, the merrier.
4. The next step is to find a suitable place for the club. It may be your own room in the house, a roof-top store room, garden corner or a cafe. I prefer the roof-top store room.
5. Find a decent and catchy name for your book club. Like – the house of books, books hub, book babes etc.
Now that you are done with all the preparations, just call your friends and invite them to your very own book club. You can also make a facebook page or instagram to run a virtual book club, if you don’t have a space. Maybe you can run digital book club with having monthly or weekly meet-ups in some nice cafe or garden. Hope this helps!
