Bedroom is the heart of the house. I feel it’s one intimate space for everyone that speaks the personality of the dweller. I spend most of my time in the bedroom because it also has my study desk. I love to lay down on my bed when I feel tired from sitting on the chair. Bedroom decoration according to me should be minimal. There are many ways to decorate your bedroom. I am sharing some photos here in this post along with tips on how you can decorate your bedroom in order to make it look beautiful.
Tips to decoration your bedroom
- Keep a light colour theme for your bedroom. Have a minimal roof light and a lifestyle light painting for the bed-head wall just as shown in the photo. Instead of ‘love’ wallpaper, you can also opt for a light coloured wallpapers with different textures.
- Basic colour tones like black, white, gray and browns are evergreen for bedrooms. If you want to make your bedroom look luxurious, add some gold and red rich coloured curtains to go with the interior. Decorate it with a huge rug matching the furniture colour.
- White and cream bedrooms look dreamy? Isn’t it? Look at the photo below, they have hardly used any decorative piece, just a lot of throw-pillows, a lamp and a matching creamy white rug. To make it look more dreamy, have a small table with a couple of books and candles on it, but make sure to keep it minimal.
- Rustic bedrooms look no less dreamy. If you have a room with wood work on it, then try keeping the decor pieces in the colour of grey, blacks and whites just as shown. Here, if you accent wall if of wood, avoid putting any wall hanging or painting on it, instead put it on the side wall as shown in the photo.
- Vintage vibe bedroom is a winner. If you like British interiors with classic show pieces, then go for this kind of bedroom decor. All you need is a book shelf, a huge chandelier, life-size lamps and rugs.
- Here’s another wooden themed bedroom for your rustic dreamy bedroom decor. I totally loved how they have just used 1 photo frame and 3 lamps for decoration. The items are minimal and still it makes the room look so dreamy.
- If you like dash of colours and prefer not using dull tones like greys and browns, then check this one out. I totally loved the idea of using 1 life-size painting with bright colours to jazz up the look of the room. But this idea only looks good if your wall colours are basic and light.
