My social media FAM knows that I stayed in Ibis Mumbai (airport) for a day before my Imagica trip happened. If you are not a part of my social media fam, then you are missing lots of travel stories. Just want to share about this as I felt it will be useful to you as well. Now, let’s talk about my experience at Ibis Mumbai.
Ibis hotel is a part of Accor Hotels, a group which also owns Ibis styles, Novotel, Sofitel, Raffles, Fairmont, Pullman and more. If you are a regular reader of this blog, you must have read my experience with Ibis, New Delhi, Aerocity and how happy I was after my stay in that hotel.
For this one, I will stick to what I wrote in the title of this post. Ibis Mumbai Airport is a good option for business travellers.
It is a budget hotel near Mumbai airport that provides the required luxury. So, from 24×7 room service, to high speed wifi, friendly staff and small yet apt rooms, this hotel is also suitable for solo travellers.
I stayed there for 1 night but had one of the memorable experiences to add to my travel journal. Here’s what my room looked like:
It was apt room, good for 2 people. The space was enough and bathroom, it looked like as that of an aeroplane.
It was cute. I like small rooms because then, it becomes easier to find your stuff because I often keep my room messy when travelling. The room service was really quick. For lunch, we ordered Paneer tikka and Pasta arabiatta with lemon iced tea, and every thing was delicious.
I interacted with Chef during the dinner. We were served with traditional Maharashtrian thali which was super delicious. (I so badly want to have it right now, as I write this post and put pictures). The Spice is their in-house restaurant which is open 24×7. And did I tell you, they serve the longest breakfast buffet (till 12:30 PM) because different travellers have different flight timings, so this one suits all!
This hotel is for business travellers, therefore you won’t find a swimming pool or gym here. I can say it’s perfectly fine because I know how hectic business trips are. You don’t even get time to come down for food, all you want is everything in your room before you retire after a hectic day.
But they have a bar and a recreation zone too! This is a very cool section where you can get to chill before or after your meeting, and chit chat over a couple of drinks. And oh, if you are a Foosball fan, you can enjoy that too!
And if by chance you forget to carry your laptop, they have got a cover for you! You can use this systems for your work during your stay in Ibis Mumbai.
All in all, it’s a nice, neat and comfortable budget hotel near airport in Mumbai. It takes approx 5mins from domestic airport while 12mins from international airport to reach this one. If you are looking for a budget hotel for a quick stay, Ibis Mumbai airport is worth giving a shot!
