Gateway of India Ferry Ride: Standing at the bay of giant Arabian Sea, Gateway of India is one of the top tourist attractions in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This iconic monument was built in the early 20th century. This place has a historical significance as the last British ship was set to sail in 1947 when Britishers left the country and Indian got its freedom. The structure of this monument is an adaption of Paris’s famous Arc de Triomphe.
Though I have lived in Mumbai for so many years, I never tried the ferry ride. Though I had been to Elephanta Caves when I was a kid, but I vaguely remember that experience. This time, I went to experience the ferry ride from Gateway of India and here are the details:

Gateway of India, Ferry Ride Experience:
To be very frank, I felt a little low when I saw the crowd as initially we didn’t get a good spot to enjoy the views but then we started requesting the people to give us some space to at least click photos. People were kind enough to agree for this.
The experience was really good. Mumbai looks beautiful from the ferry. And since I am a huge water baby, I just loved looking at the Sea from the boat. They were also serving hot tea on the boat, just in case!
It had rained earlier that day, if you will see the vlog (added at the end of this post), you will see we all got drenched in the rain. So, the climate was really pleasant. Wind was so pleasant and it was so calm, then I didn’t even realize when 30 minutes were over. I wish they increase the duration and distance of the ferry ride.
All in all, it was a good experience and I highly recommend it to you to at least, go for it once!
