I still feel so happy and grateful that I am able to tick-off places from my bucketlist. 2023 is indeed my year of manifestation and it will going to carry forward the same enthusiasm and energy and positivity to the next year and help me manifest more. Singapore was a great experience for sure. It is so modern, futuristic and green. I stayed at the Furama Riverfront hotel. This is a 5 star hotel which is nestled along the picturesque banks of the Singapore River, Furama Riverfront. It stands out as a tranquil oasis in the bustling heart of the Lion City. During my recent stay, I discovered a perfect blend of modern comfort, impeccable service, and a strategic location that made my visit to Singapore truly memorable.
In this post, I am sharing my honest hotel review of Furama Riverfront Singapore.
Location:
Furama Riverfront’s prime location is a major highlight. Situated in the vibrant Havelock Road area, the hotel offers easy access to both the central business district and popular tourist attractions. Clarke Quay, Orchard Road, and Chinatown are just a stone’s throw away, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Accommodations:
The hotel boasts a range of well-appointed rooms with modern amenities and stunning views of either the city skyline or the Singapore River. I opted for a Deluxe Double Room which costed my around 14000 rupees per night. The room had a swimming pool view along with city view which was simply amazing. Made me wake up to amazing view of Singapore every single day.
The room’s contemporary design, plush furnishings, and thoughtful touches created a comfortable and inviting space to unwind after a day of exploration. The bathroom had all the facilities including 24×7 gyser and a bath tub.
Dining:
Furama Riverfront offers a diverse culinary experience with its on-site dining options. The Square @ Furama, the hotel’s main restaurant, impressed me with its extensive buffet spread featuring local and international delicacies. The Waterfall Lounge, with its laid-back ambiance, is perfect for a casual drink or afternoon tea while enjoying the scenic views of the river.
Apart from these 2, there is an Indonesian Restaurant called Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant that serves amazing food. They have good vegetarian options.
Facilities:
The hotel provides a range of facilities to cater to guests’ needs. The rooftop swimming pool offers a refreshing escape, and the well-equipped fitness center is ideal for those who want to stay active during their stay. Additionally, the hotel’s business center and meeting rooms make it a suitable choice for corporate travelers. There is also a nice kids play area for toddlers and kids under 12 age.
Apart from this, they also have vending machines for snacks, food and utility items, a starbucks coffee station and 7 Eleven shop within the hotel premises itself.
Service:
The staff at Furama Riverfront truly excels in hospitality. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout my stay, every staff member demonstrated a commitment to ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. Any inquiries or requests were promptly addressed, reflecting a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
EcoTourism Aspect:
Since I have become conscious about the planet and started Responsible Yatri, I have started to notice the what hotels are doing towards the planet. Furama gives 2 glass tumblers in the rooms and there is a water dispenser machines installed in every floor. So, you can go and refill your water bottle whenever you want. It is a great way to avoid one-time use plastic water bottles.
Also, they have self-service for amenities. If a guest wants, towels, spoons, tea-coffee-sugar, cups, plates, glasses, shampoo, soap etc, then you come down to the reception and take it yourself, you can pick 2 or 4, no one will ask you. This is also good because you will only pick what is required and extra things will not cause waste.
Drawback:
The only drawback is, if you are an Indian then since this is not a part of Indian hotel chain, you don’t get Indian food in the breakfast and dinner buffet, but ordered food from Grab app.
All in all, Furama Riverfront proved to be more than just a place to stay; it became a memorable part of my Singaporean adventure. With its central location, comfortable accommodations, and top-notch service, it’s a haven for travelers seeking a perfect blend of convenience and tranquility in the heart of this vibrant city. Whether you’re a tourist exploring Singapore or a business traveler attending meetings, Furama Riverfront offers a delightful retreat that exceeds expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Singapore.
