There is something unforgettable about your first college event as a speaker. The nervousness, excitement, overthinking, outfit planning, carrying your books carefully like they are pieces of your heart, and secretly wondering if people will actually show up to hear you speak.
My event at Amity University Jaipur was one of those memories that stayed with me long after the journey ended.
I travelled from Delhi to Jaipur by train, and honestly, the entire trip itself already felt special. There is something emotional about train journeys when you are young and chasing your dreams. Sitting near the window, watching stations pass by, overthinking your speech, imagining the event in your head again and again. Somewhere between Delhi and Jaipur, I realized this was one of the first moments where my writing was taking me to places.
And that feeling felt unreal.
The moment I reached Jaipur, the entire city instantly felt beautiful. The roads, the architecture, the calmness, the pink tones everywhere. Even though the trip was mostly for the event, I still explored Jaipur a little whenever I got time. Small walks, random conversations, looking outside the cab window quietly, observing the city like a storyteller naturally does.
I stayed inside the Amity hostel during the event, and honestly, that experience itself felt like stepping into a completely different world. College campuses always carry this strange youthful energy. People rushing for classes, students discussing assignments, hostel conversations, laughter from corridors, late evening chai, event preparations everywhere.
Everything felt alive.
And then came the actual event.
I remember feeling nervous before going on stage, but the moment I started speaking about my book Too Hard To Handle, something shifted. Hearing people listen carefully to my words felt emotional in a way I cannot fully explain. Because when you write a book, most of the journey happens silently. Alone. Inside your room. Inside your thoughts.
But suddenly seeing real people connect to your work face-to-face makes everything feel real for the first time.
One of the most surreal moments was signing copies of my book.
Even now, that feeling is difficult to put into words.
Holding the pen, writing personalized messages, watching someone carry a copy of something that once existed only inside your mind. It felt overwhelming in the softest possible way.
The entire experience at Amity University Jaipur gave me something much bigger than just an event memory. It gave me confidence. It made me realize that stories truly travel. That words written quietly in one corner of the world can somehow reach strangers somewhere else.
And honestly, I think that train ride back to Delhi felt different too.
Quieter.
Grateful.
And full of dreams I wanted to chase even harder after that.
It feels amazing, truly magical that I am living my dreams. I am an author & a blogger and I live life in my own terms, the way I dreamt of. But yes, miles to go friends! This is just a beginning.
Also, in another news, I am pursuing psychology and life coaching course. Also learning tarot reading. I want to level up my game. Bring it on!
