Diwali is the festival of lights. It makes us feel so joyful. It is the best time to meet and greet friends and spend quality time with the family. I totally love decorating my home for Diwali. If you know about the Christmas in USA or UK, you must be knowing that they start the preparing right after Halloween. Well, same is the case in India for Diwali. We start the preparation 1 month before and it feels amazing. I personally love to DIY. If you are an old reader of this blog (because I started this blog back in 2007), you must have read a lot of DIY decor ideas here. The reason is that while researching on web for the DIY decor ideas, I come across so many ideas. So, I shortlist the best ones and put it here. Here are some of my tips for you if you planning to DIY a flower vase for Diwali:
- You can use old milk bottles, water bottles and oil bottles
- Use cooking oil jars to make bigger flower vases
- Stack up many jars to make a tall flower vase
- Use craft decor mirrors to make it look prettier
- Use you colour it freehand, but make sure to do a layer of fevicol when the colour dries up. Mix water with fevicol to make it dilute and then put it all over, using coloring brush!
- Use ribbons and laces to decorate it
