Friend, I went to Madhavgarh Farms and this post is all about my experience of this resort. This is one of the best resorts near Delhi with activities, perfect take a short escape from the hustle bustle of the city.
You will agree with me when I say that Delhi NCR is becoming more crowded, chaotic and polluted with every passing day. I would never want to spend my weekend and holidays in Delhi, but at times we don’t want to burn a hole in our pockets but still have a desire to getaway and unwind. For this, I would recommend you to visit Madhavgarh Farms. It is the best resort near Delhi with activities and I will tell you why!
This is a farmhouse themed resort spread over 15 acres, where you can either visit for day outing or night stay, both options are available. This resort has over 70 activities that you are try, including zip lining, aerial course, military climbing net, pottery, waterpark slides to name a few. Apart from this, you will get to experience the mix of Rajasthani and Haryanvi culture and get involved in cultural programs like dance and music.
Even the food options are plenty. There is a buffet with 40+ variety of food items served at different times of the day. From welcome drink to breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinners, you will never get a minute of a hunger pang. And best thing, they use organic vegetables. And if this is not enough, you can also get your favourite chips, cold drink and other snackables from their store.
Best part of this resort is its location. It is situated in Tikli Gurugram (Gurgaon) which is about 40 kms which is approx. 1.5 hours drive from main Delhi. So, this is near to Delhi but also away from the chaos.
My experience:
I opted for a night stay. I reached the restore around 12:30 pm (blame the Delhi traffic) and checked-in to my room. After check-in, I had my lunch and then headed off to explore the activities. Most of the activities like zip-lining, camel cart ride, head massage, mehndi, pottery, games, dances etc are open till 5 pm. But fret-not. After 5pm, you can still have so many activities to get involved in, that doesn’t require staff’s involvement or supervision.
I really liked the environment of the resort. Like, I have always wanted to have a farmhouse and this resort exactly gives that feel. There are horses, not for horse-riding or something, but just to accompany you, just like we see in movies, farmhouses having horses and dogs and ducks and rabbits running here and there.
I also liked the food, it was hearty and fuller and veg. Apart from this, even the stay was decent. Like they have big mud-rooms with basic amenities that includes bed, pillows, linen, table chair, hanging stand, dressing mirror, tv, 24×7 geyser, AC. They don’t have an electric kettle but the room service for tea and coffee is as quick as a blink. Also, room heaters are not available.
All in all, my experience here was good. Madhavgarh farms is suitable to head out with friends and family and even couples can go.
