Ikea Mumbai city store is located in Kamala Mills in Upper Worli area of Mumbai in Maharashtra. IKEA is one of the most popular multinational brands that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, home decor products, kitchen appliances, bathroom utility, office furniture, outdoor furniture and home accessories, among other goods and home services.
The USP of IKEA is it’s designs and budget-friendly prices. Most of the Youtubers in USA and UK are always mentioning about Ikea when sharing their home decor shopping haul or giving a room tour. IKEA has gained popularity in last 5 years, especially amongst youngsters and influencers.
India’s first IKEA store was opened in Hyderabad in 2019. Currently, India has IKEA stores in Bangalore, Mumbai and Thane.
I recently visited IKEA MUMBAI and really liked the collection, especially the collection of living room, office and kids section.
I also posted this reel where I showed things to pick from Ikea under Rs500.

So, what are the things that one can buy from IKEA?
- Ready-to-assemble furniture for home, office and outdoor (chair, table, bed, cupboard, etc.)
- Bathroom utility items (soap dispenser, towels, curtains, stools, etc.)
- Kitchen utility items (vessels, towels, tissues, cutlery, cups, plates, mugs, etc.)
- Bedsheets and furnishings
- Home decor items (lamps, lights, show pieces, artificial flowers, photo frames, cushions and covers, candles, diffusers etc.)
- Smart home items (Smart air purifiers & filters, smart lighting, smart systems & control, Wi-Fi speakers etc.)
This store also has a cafe on the ground floor where they serve limited but good snackibles like cookies, coffee, tea, cheesecake, potato wedges, toasts etc.
One new thing that I experienced was it’s self-billing counters. Though there are staff to help in case you get stuck, but it is very easy to do and checkout. You keep your stuff on the counter, scan it, pay, pack and check out. It is really simple!
I have showed a glimpse of this and the store in my new vlog. Do watch it (and show some love).
All in all, I really liked Ikea store. Though most of the products are china-made and some of really low-quality like we get in local markets of Delhi, but some products were really nice and aesthetic. Some products were budget-friendly while some were over priced, for instance, we forgot to carry our umbrella that day and suddenly it started raining cats and dogs. So, we decided to buy an umbrella from Ikea and God, such a turn-off. We got a boring black umbrella for Rs.600 while the same umbrella and even with cute prints can be bought for 250-350 from outside!
I also wish they had more options to eat at their in-house cafe. They had veg biryani but since I don’t like biryani, I only had an option to eat potato wedges and cheesecake.
I would suggest you to try once and grab some really cool under 1k aesthetic decor and utility stuff, like hand towels, soap dispensers, spoons, coffee mugs, bedsheet set, cushion covers etc.
