If you are looking for a budget kajal for everyday wear, you might have come across the VLCC Black Kajal. It is affordable, easily available, and looks intensely black during the first application. But after using it for a while, I honestly do not think this kajal works well for long-hour wear.
So here’s my honest VLCC Black Kajal review.
First Impressions
The kajal applies smoothly and gives a decent black pigmentation initially. It does not feel very hard or dry while applying, which is a good thing if you like soft kajals.
The packaging is simple and travel-friendly too.
What I Did Not Like
The biggest issue with this kajal is that it smudges very easily.
Within a short time:
- It starts spreading around the eyes
- The lower lash line looks messy
- It is not waterproof enough
- It fades quickly
- Definitely not long lasting
If you have oily eyelids or watery eyes, this kajal probably will not stay in place properly.
Is It Good For Daily Wear?
Personally, I would not recommend it for:
- Long office hours
- College wear
- Events
- Humid weather
- Full day outings
Because you will probably need frequent touch-ups.
What Can You Use It For Instead?
Honestly, this kajal works better for:
- Nazar dots behind the ear
- Quick photoshoots
- Short-duration makeup looks
- Temporary use before removing makeup
For quick shoots or pictures, the black pigment looks fine initially. But for long wear, it simply does not perform well.
Overall, the VLCC Black Kajal feels average and not something I would repurchase for regular eye makeup use. The pigmentation is decent at first, but the smudging and poor staying power become disappointing after some time.
If you need a kajal just for quick application or nazar dots, it works. But if you want something long lasting and smudge-proof, there are definitely better options available in the market.
