Philadelphia is the 5th largest city in Pennsylvania in USA and one of the top places in my wish list to visit in the World. I have read a lot about this city and it makes me feel so nice about wanting to explore Philadelphia. I am writing this article by taking inputs from one of the friends who recently came back from Philadelphia and helped me curate this list. Also, this list will help me decide what all are the fun things to do in Philadelphia when I actually visit the city. But let me give you a heads-up, if you are not a fan of museums and art centers, then list is will only give you a couple of more places to visit other than museums because Philadelphia as far as I have understood is a city full of such places.
This museum was founded in 1876 as the Pennsylvania Museum & School of Industrial Art but in 1938, the name was changed to what it’s currently called. Today it has more than 240,000 artworks at present. One of the main things not to be missed are the Asian rooms and the walkways.
Reading Terminal Market:
Featuring over 80 concessions, this historic market occupies the former train shed of the terminal rail station and has something for even the most eclectic of tastebuds.
Independence Hall:
-
Eastern State Penitentiary
- One Liberty Observation Desk
- Liberty bell center
- Citizens bank park
- Elfreth’s Alley (this is a must visit for a good photoshoot)
-
Rodin Museum
