#2 The Victoria Memorial

Well, then you must be aware of the beautiful monument called the Victoria memorial that displays a beautiful amalgamation between European and Mughal styles of architecture.The Mughal motifs and domes adorn the English construction. The Ajanta and Ellora caves are ancient caves that are famous for being carved out of rocks using just hammer and chisel.There are in all 34 caves of Ellora and 29 caves of Ajanta that can be visited to appreciate their paintings, sculptures and grand architecture.

stunning examples of Indian architecture. The Mysore palace, located in
the state of Karnataka is a must check out for all.It is also popularly
known as the Amba Vilas and Maharaja’s palace. It happens to be one of
the largest palaces of India spreading over an area of 245 feet by 56
feet. It is made in form of a sequence of arched towers, built one next
to the other beautifully enclosed in domes.
The style of architecture
from which the builders of Mysore palace, drew their inspiration is
known as the Indo-Saracenic style. It was originally built in
wood. Unfortunately, the original tower got burnt down in the year 1897
and was rebuilt by Raja Wodeyar in the year 1912. It is a delight to
behold at night with all it’s amazing lights.

The ruins of the town Hampi, which is supposed to the the last capital of the Vijay Nagar empire are associated with a lot of history.At present, only large boulders and pillars with some architectural remains can be seen.The Vitthala temple and the 56 pillars that produce musical notes when struck.
