Holi is a popular festival celebrated in India, and it can be a very enjoyable and colorful time, after all it is the festival of colours. Holi in 2023 is on 8 March and I am sure you must have started preparing for it. Holi is a fun festival and hence, may have some severe after-effects. Clothing

It is best to wear clothing that will cover as much of your skin as possible. Choose long sleeves and long pants that are made of cotton or other natural materials, as these will be more comfortable and are less likely to irritate your skin. Stick to lighter colors that won’t show the colors as much.

Eye Protection

The water used to play Holi often contains colored powders and other materials that can be harmful to your eyes. Consider wearing protective eyewear, such as goggles, to reduce the risk of eye irritation and damage.

Food and Drink

Food and drinks that are served at Holi celebrations can be a source of bacteria and other contaminants. Ensure that all food and drinks are stored and prepared properly, and that any cooked food is eaten before it has a chance to become contaminated. Also, limit the consumption of bhaang and bhaang products that it may result in sickness.

Skin Care

Holi can lead to skin irritation and rashes. Wear natural fibers, use natural dyes, and avoid using chemical-based colors as much as possible. Additionally, be sure to wear sunscreen and moisturize your skin afterwards to help protect it.
