Chokhi Dhani Jaipur -My Visit Experience + Photos

If you are a regular follower of my blog, you must have noticed that I often talk about hill stations or beaches when it comes to planning a perfect getaway. But today in this post, I am going to discuss about a getaway that’s not just enticing, but also a perfect way to dive-in to rich culture and tradition of Rajasthan. I am talking about Chokhi Dhani, Jaipur. My plan to visit Chokhi Dhani was an impromptu one, hence the photos you see in this blog post are shot on iPhone. It’s been almost a year since I visited this traditional Rajasthani village themed resort but it’s never late to reminisce the memories and share the experience here on my blog with you all.

Hey! That’s Me!

Chokhi Dhani Jaipur is a theme-resort which is a complete package of the traditional and cultural reflection of the state. This is an ethnic village resort which is synonymous with the real Rajasthani Village hospitality since the time it has been opened i.e. 1989. Woah! That’s a long time. Chokhi Dhani is as old as I am! (haha! My birth year is 1989 as well).

The setup of this village resort makes it look just like a real village. You can enjoy countryside games, magic shows, camel rides, traditional folk songs, puppet shows and lots more when you visit this wonderful resort. There are local kabali dancers performing at the stalls too. You can also get Mehndi done on your hands for free.

There are interesting things to experience for every age-group. There is an amusement park as well. It’s name is Pink Pearl Fun City which has some really cool rides. Now, for the ones who don’t want to eat traditional Rajasthani food, they can also visit in a Punjabi village themes restaurant named Chokha Punjab which is right next to the amusement park.

You will also get to experience the best traditional food culture here. ‘Thali’ which means a platter is quite famous here. They serve yummy Daal-Baati-Choorma along with delicious Malpuas which makes every penny spent worthwhile. Also, their Khichdi is famous too. Here’s the photo of my thali:

They have various slots for food restaurant. We had to wait for 30 minutes for our turn. They serve food batch-wise. Once the first batch eats and leaves, the next batch is allowed to entered the restaurant. But the food is really good and totally worth the wait.

There is also a beautiful temple inside the resort where they perform aarti during the night.
