I recently visited Shimla for the second time. My first visit to Shimla was when I was 6 years old. This time when I visited Shimla, it rained. Oh and it looked amazingly beautiful. Though these places are must-visit places without any doubt, but you should try to visit the lesser known places of Shimla too!

Summer Hills:

It is located 5 kms away from Shimla and this hill is one amongst the 7 hills that makes Shimla. You must try this place during summers. The best time is to be there during  sunrise and sunset.

Annandale:

Talk about the adventurous place in Shimla and you cannot afford to miss Annandale. If you love golf, you must be here. You will love the scenery and the helipad.  You can be here between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Jakhoo Hill:

It is the highest peak in Shimla and is 8000 feet high.  There is a Hanuman Temple at the top of the hill and people from across the country come to seek the blessings from Lord Hanuman. The Hanuman idol is 108 feet tall. If you love trekking you must try trekking to Jakhoo hill.

Shimla State Museum:

It is also known as Himachal state museum and if you want to experience the British culture, you will get to see the handicrafts, sculptures, paintings, artifacts and so on. The collection is just mind blowing. The Shimla State Museum is open between 7.00 am to 8.00 pm.
