Weight loss, staying fit and staying in shape are some things everyone is obsessed about these days. For this, the simplest and the most efficient ways are indulging in some kind of exercise for at least 30 to 40 minutes per day, at least 3 to 4 days in a week and regulating your total calorie count per day.
To kick start the process of weight loss, you need to create a deliberate calorie deficit in body this is done by something as simple as reducing the intake of empty calories, which have nothing to contribute to nutritional value. For example, cutting on colas, preserved juices, jams, jellies and sweets. Calorie deficit is created in your body when the calories you burn are more than the calories you consume. So, in order to burn around 2 pounds per week you need to burn nearly 300 to 1000 calories daily.
|Bad Impact Of Eating Carbs After 7 PM In The Evening|
There is no direct correlation between eating after 7 pm and weight gain, the actual reason behind not recommending you to eat after say 7 or 7.30 in evening is that, the total amount of calories consumed in a day have to be regulated and divided carefully throughout the day so that, your metabolism stays active and functional.
It is just that, by eliminating carbohydrates (aka carbs) from your food at night, you are decreasing the extra calorie intake from your diet. So, replacing the carbs with veggies and a low fat, protein smoothie is a better idea. Eating more calories during the day,is going to defeat the purpose so, your food choices have to be healthy.
Try to have 5 to 6 meals, including your three major meals (PS: major but not heavy) and two fruit/ veggie or high fibre snacks before 7 pm at night so that your body has plenty of time to digest them well. f there a gap of two to three hours between the last meal of your day and the time you go to bet, you can allow yourself some time to stroll around, too. If you eat after 7 pm that is, after your dinner, you are adding surplus calories to your body that will inadvertently show up as weight gain. This is especially true if you are eating out of boredom or sadness or anxiety for that matter, rather than out of hunger itself. Comfort foods like starchy french fries, potatoes, white bread sandwiches, pasta etc are the main culprit.
Also, when one has to wait for dinner, the craving increases and therefore, one tends to eat more than what you actually require and this has been confirmed by studies.
If you feel a strong craving to eat something after 7pm, make sure that you take your pick from fibre rich foods, whole grains, fruits, legumes, nuts, low fat milk or vegetable salad that gives a sensation of fullness along with providing plenty of nutrients to your body. Fibre tends to soak up water giving you a feeling of full tummy.
