Heya!Don’t you think Chai-Coffi is an interesting name? I too gave the same reaction when I heard about this place.
…and I remember my friend said, ‘Chal Chai Coffee pe chalte hai’ and I replied ya sure! i was surprised to see that he was actually talking about this place called ‘Chai Coffi’. …and I was like, ‘Oh! I thought you asking me out for coffee!’ #ROFL
To start with, it’s a very nice and warm place. If you are a coffee lover, you are surely going to like the ambiance.
The moment I entered this place, what caught my eyes were the paintings. These painting are charcoal paintings made by the owner’s friend.
Here, you get a choice of sitting outdoor well as indoor. It’s best known for the range of teas and coffees it has to offer.
You can order cutting chai, or masala tea or mint tea and lots. Similarly there’s a wide range of coffees too! Their menu gives the essence of local Mumbai language. Like, they have Kanda Poha on the menu, Brun pav, Kanda Bhajiya, Samosa and lots.
I reached the place by 8:30 PM. I order a custom pasta i.e. Pasta totally made keeping my choice into the consideration. (I suddenly realized, I have started like the concept of custom pasta and pizza more than the regular ones… and I am liking it to the core)
It was Penne Pasta with Arrabiata cheese sauce with 3 bell peppers, onions, broccoli and garlic. (…and of course, 1 chai and 1 coffee), that’s the first pic of this post) See!
Thumbs up to the taste!
It is a celebrity frequented place (so, you are likely to spot some hanging out and chilling here). It has a different smoking area (that’s good!) and approx cost for 2 is INR 700.
All in all it’s a nice cafe, perfect for coffee dates and fast food hunger pangs.
I rate 3.5/5 to this place!
