Planning & Going On Road Trips With Toddler:
Planning the departure timing in schedule with the timing of your baby’s usual sleeping time coinciding will be right thing to do. Your baby can rest comfortably inside the vehicle on the road trip without disturbing you for long.
Make sure that you break up our total journey to give you the scope to stretch yourself outside after stopping the car. You carry milk bottles and food that your baby eats.
You must be sure and check your baby’s diaper regularly so that the diaper is not heavy and make your baby uncomfortable. Look for a hotel or a family restaurant where there are rooms for giving the advantage to clean your baby and change her/his diaper.
Always carry a sanitizer and hand wash along with your toddler other needs. Sanitize and wipe the place where you will place your baby to clean. You should also rub your hand with sanitizer after touching other food items or anything else before taking your baby in your arms.
Carry the dolls and soft toys which are your baby’s favorites to keep your little one engaged and give her/ him the space to play.
You can also carry the rhymes, carols, songs and stories CDs and play it on the car while travelling so that your baby loves to hear the tune and the track.
Funny singing and dancing puppets are interesting games for toddlers and they love to play it again and again without disturbing you
Snacks and fruits for giving your baby the nutrition and the likeness to eat and keep her away from feeling starved for long
Carry water bottles to make her feel hydrated and give her the energy to stay cool for long. Don’t forget to take small breaks on motels and take your baby out from the car for a while and go walking for 5-10minutes.
You should prepare a good diaper-bag for your baby that has all the essential things like food, medicines, syrups, diapers, milk powder, cerelac, extra pair of clothes etc.
Hope these important tips would help you a lot. We really enjoy travelling with our little toddler and by following this tips (from my mom) it really makes easy on going road trips with our little baby.
