So, I am back from my short escape and finally I am able to post one of those stories, that I am planning to do from this trip. Actually, things are keeping me really busy and that’s why I was unable to share about trip. Finally, today I tried to sort things off and manage stuff and again on 6th I have to go to Amity University, Lucknow for the finale event of Amity’s annual fest- Amiphoria 2015.
Anways, coming back to this post. This is all about the 29th Surajkund International Crafts Mela
2015. I am pretty sure, you might have heard about it and if not! This post will surely ignite curiosity in you to visit this wonderful, colorful and amazing fair or Mela to be more precise.

I decided to visit the 29th Surajkund International Crafts Mela
2015 in Faridabad, Haryana. It is hosted by Haryana Tourism and
Chhattisgarh state is the theme this year and will be open from Feb 1
2015 to Feb 15, 2015 daily 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Around 18 countries like
Sri Lanka, Nepal, Belarus, Thailand, Kuwait, Qatar are going to
participate this year.

on the left side you have big ground organizing fairy rides and giant
wheels. You can enjoy some enthralling games and rides here. After the
rides, you can further walk in to witness the various stalls and
craft houses. Each stall had a unique to some or the other culture of an
Indian state or a foreign culture. you can buy various handmade
merchandise from these stalls.

organizers have really taken care of the sanity of the place, providing
various rest houses and man-made toilets on your way. The stalls seem to
be never ending and there is a lot to discover for a cultural
witnessing the cultural heritage, you can relish your taste buds with
mouth watering cuisines from various parts of nation and world.

are Rajasthanis, Chhattisgarh, Punjabis, Mughlai, South-Indian, Chinese, Lebanese dishes and lots more to try. One cannot get satisfied without having tried

is also a central amphi-theatre which hosts various folk dances from
Indian states and participating countries. there is always a special
light and sound show scheduled daily at 6PM which attracts huge crowd.
