How to Store Perfumes and All Other Fragrances:
The perfume which has been bought or gifted to you on your special occasion is a very delicate item. The carrier oils and alcohols can break down easily and evaporate or change. Always make sure that after you have used the perfume tighten the cover properly and do not keep it loose.
Keep the bottle of the perfume away from the direct heat or sunlight, as this may cause reactions in the content mix of the perfume.
As alcohol is one of the main content in the perfume so make sure that there is no heater, gas stove or candles burning in front of the perfume kept.
Differencing the temperature grade frequently can harm the scent and fragrance of the perfume. There should be equal temperature always for the perfume storing.
Storing perfume in the bathroom is also not recommended. As the humid content and the fluctuation in the temperature due to the presence of hot water and cold water will be improper for storing the perfume, places where there is no humidity will be perfect storing locations for perfumes.
Frequently closing and opening the perfume cover can lessen the total content of the perfume. The highly volatile alcohol content will easily evaporate in the air if the bottle is not sealed and goes rigorous opening and closing after being sprayed.
There is no need to shake the bottle of the perfume as they are evenly mixed beforehand and has no coagulation or residue left below. So shaking the bottle of perfume is just a myth.
Do not allow children to touch the perfume bottle. As the container is made of glass which can break easily if mishandled. So precautions should be taken that the container is kept on high shelves where it is out of reach of children.
Take a small container glass bottle to keep your perfume as it is for long, as plastic, steel, aluminum container can react with the notes and carrier oils- alcohol to damage the scent of the perfume.
